Due to COVID-19 regulations in the State of New Jersey, we are asking all attendees to please RSVP if they plan on attending the dog park opening, scheduled for Saturday, May 8 at 1pm with a rain date of Sunday, May 9 at 1pm.

Please RSVP through this form if your intention is to attend the opening ceremony so we have an accurate estimation of how many people will be coming. All attendees will be asked to observe COVID-19 protocols set by the State of New Jersey. The deadline to register is May 2, 2021.

In the event regulations change and potentially limit event attendance to only a small number of people, we will inform you of such, as the attendance priority will be given to the close family and friends of the Schwertfegers. Please be sure to give the best email address with which you can be reached as we will email you if the event will be closed to the general public. In the event the forecast necessitates using the rain date, check our social media accounts and/or our website at www.dogpark4oaklandnj.org for the latest information if it has been moved to Sunday, May 9.

Chairs will NOT be provided, so please bring your own folding chair if you wish to sit, otherwise expect to stand during the ceremony. There are also no bathrooms on site so please relieve yourself before coming to the ceremony.

If you plan on bringing your dog to use the dog park, please ensure the dog is registered to use the dog park with the Borough before bringing your dog. Dog Park Registration will be opening very soon (as of this form being created) and information on that will be available by contacting the Oakland Recreation Department or by visiting the Dog Park for Oakland, NJ Facebook page.

Masks and social distancing are encouraged per the Governor's guidelines. Dog Park Merchandise will be for sale. Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Public Events Committee.

Will you be able to park in the main or overflow parking lot? We are reserving parking spots close to the event for those who are handicapped, elderly (over 75), and those who cannot physically walk that far. *

I understand that chairs will not be provided, there are no bathrooms on site, and my dog/s must be registered and have paid to use the dog park before letting them use the dog park. I will bring a folding chair if I want to sit, I will use the bathroom before attending if needed, and I will ensure my dogs are registered for the dog park if I plan to use the facility. *
