BMMP Interest Form

Burleigh Manor Music Parents need parent volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year to serve on the board and support the BMMS Music Programs. If you are interested or would like more information about any of the positions, please provide your name, email, and telephone number.

The list of positions below constitute the Board of the BMMP. If we have someone who has already expressed interest in a position for the 2022-2023 school year which you are interested in, please don't hesitate to check the box for that position. We often can use more than one person in a position and will try to accommodate all volunteers. You can indicate which position(s) you are interested in. Someone from BMMP will in contact you.

President

The President leads the monthly meetings, sets the agenda, communicates with the Music Directors, and helps lead the major fundraising event.

Vice President

The Vice President backs up the president by leading the monthly meetings, setting the agenda, communicating with the Music Directors, and helps lead the various committee work.

Secretary

Maintains the records of BMMP, including meeting minutes and correspondence.

Treasurer

Maintains the financial records of BMMP, prepares the annual budget in coordination with the President, music directors and fundraising coordinator, makes payments as authorized.

Fundraising Coordinator

Coordinates BMMP fundraising efforts, particularly the annual Pie Sale. Works with the Hospitality and Volunteer Coordinator and other volunteers to prepare for pie ordering and distribution, and other fundraising efforts.

HCPSM Liaison

Coordinates with the Howard County Parents for School Music, advocating for music education county-wide.

Hospitality and Volunteer Coordinator

Organizes with other volunteers the BMMP staff back to school breakfast, Back to School Bash, and Back to Music Night. Works with the fundraising coordinator to organize volunteers for Pie Packet and Pie Distribution days.

Community Outreach and Cultural Liaison(s)

Shares BMMPs music program activities to the diverse BMMS community, reaching out through neighborhood, social, and cultural connections to parts of the community less involved in the BMMS music program.

Music Librarian

Works with music directors to organize the current available repertoire and add new material to the BMMS music library.

Communications Coordinator

Works with music directors and officers to communicate with the BMMP community. Coordinates updates with the Web Curator and Facebook Coordinator.

Spirit Wear Coordinator

Organizes ordering and distribution of snazzy threads for BMMS musicians.
