What do the Friends do?
* Organize and run the Spring and Fall bargain book sales
* Operate ongoing lobby book sale
* Organize and manage other fundraiser events
* Provide funds to the library to purchase equipment and promotional items
* Fund library programs for all ages
* Sort donated books and media
* Represent the library at community events
Examples of items the FWPL has provided for the library include: an automated wheelchair; DVDs; book discussion kits; programs for children, teens and adults; additions to the library collections; and The Book Page.
The FWPL promotes increased knowledge of the Webster Public Library by maintaining an association of persons interested in books and libraries. The FWPL works to stimulate and promote informed public interest in the library, its services, facilities and needs.
The FWPL encourages and promotes:
* Donations to the library
* Volunteers for FWPL activities
* Programs of community interest
* Library needs and interests to the Webster community and state and local officials
