The option to test out of a course is intended to allow students the opportunity to demonstrate competency of a course for which they feel they already possess the knowledge or skills to pass. Students who earn a C+ or better on the final exam (or department-decided assessment) of a course will be considered to have met course completion requirement and will receive credit to be applied toward the 22 credits required to graduate. Credits earned through testing out will not be factored into a student's cumulative GPA and may not be counted by the NCAA as classes toward its core course eligibility requirements.
