In order to qualify for the Freshmen Class Elections you must do the following:
1. Meet the scholarship and citizenship grade qualifications outlined in the Constitution of Mira Mesa High School. You must have a 2.0 in scholarship and in citizenship with no “F’s” or “U’s” on your most recent report cards. The council will submit your name for the GPA check(s) with the Registrar.  If you think that you may not have the grades to qualify, it would be best if you did not run for office.

3. Decide whether or not you want to fully commit yourself to the duties and responsibilities of the office, should you be elected. This means you must provide leadership for your student body peers and the school and take initiative in meeting all of the goals and duties of your office. Frequently, students get involved in too many things and cannot give the proper attention to any one commitment. If you are elected to an office, you are accepting obligation to the entire student body. Other conflicting activities should take a lower priority should you decide to take on class office. Repeated excuses will not be tolerated.

I, the potential candidate, agree that should I be elected to the above named office for the 2021-2022 school year as stated in the MMHS constitution, some obligations must be fulfilled after school and occasionally on weekends.  I shall not allow a job, sport, or other obligations to interfere with the duties of my office. I understand that I shall be dropped from the office should my lack of commitment or attendance interfere with fulfilling my duties.
Please select "I Agree" or "I Cannot Agree" *
4. After you have gone through this entire Campaign Packet, go over it with your parents/guardians so that they are also aware of these commitments. By submitting this packet, you are officially a candidate.
