Cuyamaca Cares "Early Action Emergency Grant" Application
The fall 2023 Early Action Emergency Fund application is now closed. It will re-open for the spring 2024 semester on January 29th. Please be advised of the rules that will still apply:

- Students must be enrolled in 6 or more units at Cuyamaca College to be eligible. Students enrolled in 3 units at Cuyamaca and 3 units at Grossmont are not eligible, you must be enrolled in 6 or more at Cuyamaca College.
- Students must have had a 2.0 GPA or higher in one of the last 3 semesters at Cuyamaca College. If this is your first semester at Cuyamaca College, this rule does not apply. If you are a current and active member of DSPS, this rule does not apply.
- Students cannot receive the emergency fund from Grossmont AND Cuyamaca. If you have already received the Early Action Emergency Fund from Grossmont, you will not be eligible to receive it from Cuyamaca in the same semester.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Our Early Action Funding will be exhausted mid-semester during the spring 2024 semester. Once funding is exhausted, we will revert to a pre-pandemic emergency fund model. This will entail providing proof of your emergency; our funding will no longer be a blanket dollar amount for any need. For example, if your car breaks down and you need help paying for the repairs to get to school, you must submit a quote for the repairs and if approved, an emergency fund will be disbursed to you in the amount stated on the quote. If the repairs cost $159.05, then you will be disbursed $159.05. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at cuyamaca.cares@gcccd.edu or call 619-660-4203. Thank you.
