PRINCIPLE is a nationwide clinical trial from the University of Oxford to find COVID-19 treatments (for anyone aged 50-64 years with underlying medical conditions, or 65 years and over with or without underlying medical conditions anyone) that can be taken at home.

We are looking for medicines that can help people with COVID-19 symptoms get better quickly and stop them needing to go to hospital.

The PRINCIPLE Trial is working with Professor Mahendra G Patel as Co-Investigator, National BAME and Community Pharmacy Research Lead, to help greater utilization of pharmacy and it's highly skilled workforce in supporting our pioneering work to investigate effective treatments for COVID-19 within community and primary care settings.

Pharmacists are increasingly the face of community health care and as such can help play a vital role in supporting our international leading research.
