Kraft Meadows Tech Room Guidelines - Caledonia Robotics


The Tech Room has been generously made available to us by the Caledonia Community Schools CCS).  Caledonia Robotics is not an official, school-sponsored program but more of a partnership.  Cal Robotics is not charged
for the use of the Tech Room as long as our usage does not create extra expenses for CCS and we help maintain it. Being that we are using a school facility, we are expected to follow school policy. Every Cal Robotics student/parent is expected to follow the guidelines below:

ADULT SUPERVISION
1.  There will be Adult supervision any time students are present. Before supervising students, a background check must be completed and turned-in at least a week beforehand.
2. Two Adults must be present after school hours end at 4 pm.  One adult may be present after school from 2:30-4 or anytime the school office is open and office staff are present.  Interior door to hallway must be open at all times.
3.  There must never be one student and one adult alone in the Tech Room UNLESS the adult is the parent/guardian of the student.

TECH ROOM RESERVATION
1.  The Tech Room will be reserved for General Open Build Sessions.  If you would like to use the Tech Room outside of these hours, please check the Facilities Calendar by clicking the "Tech Room Reservation" link above first.
If it is availabe, please contact your Robotics Coordinator to schedule the Tech Room.


CLOSING UP
1. School Days - Please close interior doors (including the storage room door) and the lights OFF  - PLEASE CLOSE THE EXTERIOR SERVICE DOOR COMPLETELY
2. Non-school Days (weekends or snow day) - Please close all interior doors and make sure they are locked.  Turn off all lights.  PLEASE CLOSE The EXTERIOR DOOR COMPLETELY.  This is very important as school safety is at risk if it is left open, even a crack!

ALWAYS...
PICK UP PARTS OFF THE FLOOR AND PUT AWAY
PICK UP ANY GARBAGE AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR TEAM
PUT AWAY THE FIELD COMPONENTS AND PUT "STAY OFF" SIGNS ON THE PLAYING FIELDS
LOCK THE PARTS CABINETS
PUT AWAY ANY TOOLS and PARTS LEFT LYING AROUND
SHUT AND LOCK THE ROBOTICS STORAGE ROOM
WIPE OFF WORKSTATION SURFACE AND CHAIRS
