Dr Jed Meers, from the York Law School’s Administrative Fairness Lab, is holding a workshop in the centre of York at The Principal Hotel on 19th February 2024 to explore future mental health research priorities.
Jed is looking for a maximum of 16 individuals to take part in this workshop who:
Live in York or North Yorkshire; and
Have lived experience of accessing mental health services, through the NHS or local councils, either as a service user or carer.
This is an opportunity to influence what topics are researched in the future, particularly around reforming how people access mental health support.
Individuals will be offered £75 for their involvement and travel expenses will be covered. Attendees will be asked to read a short plain English summary, detailing plans for the day, in advance of the workshop.
The opportunity is being advertised across a range of services that deliver mental health care. For that reason and due to a limited budget, it may not be possible to include everyone who expresses an interest in taking part in the workshop. A diverse range of perspectives are sought, and individuals will be invited to take part on that basis.
If you are interested in taking part in this workshop, please complete the survey below by 5pm on Monday 15th January 2024.
If you are unable to complete the survey, you can also contact Leigh at sparks@york.ac.uk.
Due to the holiday period, you may not receive a response until after the 15 January 2023 closing date.
