This award recognizes the complete commitment to lodging excellence with this award, open to all WHLA member property general managers regardless of property size. One individual, one couple, or one set of family members from the same property will be selected from all completed entries to receive WHLA’s highest honors.

General Information

WHLA members are invited to submit nominees for the 2022 Innkeeper of the Year award! This award is presented annually to one general manager employed at a WHLA member hotel or lodging property.

Winners will be recognized at the 2022 Wisconsin Lodging Conference during the Awards Dinner on November 7 at The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake. Winners will receive complimentary admission for themselves and a guest to the awards dinner, special recognition during the ceremony, a recognition certificate and plaque, photo opportunity. Winners will be highlighted in WHLA publications and social media channels.

Nomination Rules & FAQs

Nominees must be employed at current WHLA lodging member property. Deadline for submissions: 9/12/2022.

Nominees will be contacted by WHLA in August and asked to complete an official entry form. Entry forms will be reviewed and scored in confidence by the WHLA Awards Commitee.

Entry forms will be reviewed and scored in confidence by the WHLA Awards Committee in September. Nominees who submit entry forms will be notified of their award status by October 1, 2022.
