Liverpool's Black Employment Crisis
Liverpool has a problem. When walking through the city centre, you can see that there are hardly any Black people working in the shops. Why? We are applying for the jobs, we just never seem to get them.

Racism, discrimination and unconscious bias play a large factor in Black people do or do not get employed and we want to address this now. Liverpool has the oldest Black community in Europe and the suffering of this community through the transatlantic slave trade increased Liverpool's economy by 1000% and yet we are struggling to find employment.

If you are Black and are from/live in Liverpool, please fill in this survey with your own experiences of discrimination in the workplace - including times you didn't get a job or weren't promoted when you should have been.

We want to collect all this data and use it as a catalyst for change because enough is enough!

If you do not want your name to be included, please type 'anonymous' in the name section but still include your email. We will make sure not to disclose your identity.

Thank you so much for your time.

*This survey is conducted by ROOT-ed Zine. Emails will not be shared, however we may contact you for more information. We aim to present responses, alongside diversity statistics and other data, in an open letter demanding change for Black people in the work place.
