The Israel VC WhatsApp group has become a valuable resource to many members of the Israeli VC ecosystem. In order to ensure that it continues to provide value I am asking that all current members of the group sign up again so that I can ensure that everyone's information and title are up to date, and to give those who no longer work in VC the opportunity to leave without me having to ask in order to make room for the ever growing wait list.

I will be sending out this link a few times a year, and only those who fill out the form within two weeks of me sending it out will be allowed to stay in the group. I am hoping that this small request will weed out those who do not check the group often, and it will also reduce the amount of admin work I have to do to ensure that all members still work in VC (something which I assure you I would prefer not to do).

Just a quick reminder that this group is for active VC, CVC, and similar startup investment funds.

Through the group there have been a number of impromptu meetups between members, many questions have been asked and lots of new connections have been made. The goal of this WhatsApp group is to offer a forum for analysts, associates, and principals to share their knowledge with others in the industry, and to post questions and relevant dealflow.

General Guidelines:

1.Take dealflow discussions private: Please be sure to share all opinions of startups (whether positive or negative) privately with the individual who asked about the particular company. Dealflow questions can be initiated in public (ie. “has anyone heard of, or looked into company X?”), but after the initial question they should go private in a separate message. Since there are representatives from almost all the major sources of startup funding in Israel centered in one place, if someone was to ask the group their opinion of a specific startup and the entire group was to rip the idea apart, then it could unfairly destroy that company’s chances of raising money from any fund in Israel.

2.Respect everyone’s privacy: In order to encourage networking, you can find a list of all the members of the group here, however please respect the privacy of the members and do not share the info outside of the group. This includes members names, events, quotes, screenshots, and any other information that was shared in confidence.

3.Do not spam the group: Keep posts relevant to dealflow, VC, startups, events and related questions.

4.Don’t post anything confidential: Anything that is shared should not contain confidential or sensitive information, as it may become public.

This group is for analysts, associates, principals, and equivalent positions, and is supposed to function as a tool and resource, not a generic discussion board. Thus, please stick to the basic rules above. If you are no longer working in one of the above positions, then you will be removed from the group, as this is not a job board, or a place to pitch your new startup.

Lastly, feel free to share this with anyone whom you feel will benefit from this group, so long as they work with a VC, fund or investment company that invests in Israel, their membership will be considered.

If you are not an investor, please consider signing up for one of the other groups that I run:

1.Chief Innovation Officers and Corporate Innovation Leaders - https://forms.gle/vWSXZkFgCwoGdd8LA
2. Managers of Accelerators, Co-Working Spaces, Startup Hubs, and Similar Startup Programs - https://forms.gle/pFmuryH8i3yKgY2Z6
