The purposes of the Student Nurses Association (SNA), Historic Triangle Chapter are to:  promote participation in college and community activities that promote health and wellness, represent nursing students to the consumer, to institutions, and to other organizations; encourage student participation in interdisciplinary activities; educate members about the importance of student involvement in legislative matters regarding healthcare, nursing education, and practice; promote recruitment efforts; participation in student activities, and educational opportunities regardless of a person’s race, color, creed, sex, age, lifestyle, national origin, or economic status; promote and encourage collaborative relationships with the National Student Nurses’ Association and the Virginia Nursing Students’ Association; participate in approved fund raising activities in order to raise money for charitable contributions to approved agencies and causes; and participate in approved fund raising activities in order to raise money for the pinning ceremony that occurs upon successful completion of the nursing program.
