Hullabaloo U Peer Mentor Application
Hullabaloo U is a semester long, 0 credit hour first-year experience course designed to create a welcoming and affirming environment for each new student. Students will develop self‐efficacy, self‐awareness, and a sense of purpose; become actively engaged in the learning environment inside and outside of the classroom; and become socially integrated within the university community. Each section of Hullabaloo U is limited to no more than 25 students and led by a faculty/staff instructor and a peer mentor.

Hullabaloo U Peer Mentors serve as a role model, resource, and leader for a small group of first-year Aggies.  As a Peer Mentor, you will serve alongside a faculty or staff member for one section of the Hullabaloo U first year experience course.  In your role, you will help new students make a successful transition to Aggieland, get involved on-campus, succeed in the classroom, and create a sense of belonging in the broader Aggie Community.

Peer mentors will receive a $500 stipend posted to your student account in October 2020.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
Be a member of the Class of ’21, ’22 or ’23,  who has completed at least 24 credit hours by the end of the Spring 2020 semester at Texas A&M College Station or through the Blinn TEAM program; who will be enrolled at the College Station campus for fall 2020.

Be in good academic standing, with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, and good disciplinary standing.
