Riyada (Arabic for Entrepreneurship and Pioneering) for Social Innovation SAL is proud to present a unique summer program that is part of the Summer of Innovation 2019 backed up by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lebanon!
Are you between 14 and 18 years old? Do you like to tinker with technology and learn new things? Do you like to have fun and create something that benefits your community? Join the Riyada Youth Innovation Summer Program at BDD between July 8 and July 18 2019 and create an Internet of Things (IoT) solution using Raspberry Pi to solve an environmental problem and learn how to turn it into an entrepreneurial project!

What is IoT? The Internet of Things is one of the main trends shaping engineering and our future! If you like computers, programming, and are thinking to become an engineer or a computer scientist in the future, or if you want to become an entrepreneur, this program is for you!!!

Participants will be working for 8 days to come up with technology solutions to problems and will earn participation certificates at the end of the Summer camp.
Gained skills include Python coding, hardware and sensors knowledge, social entrepreneurship, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills.

Our technical training partner is My ioLab which is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) initiative that provides opportunities for youth to learn, innovate, and scale up their hardware and Internet of Things (IoT) knowledge while leveraging on Mozilla's Things Gateway, which provides an open source IoT framework to build upon.
