STEAM Punks Camp 2021
This year, we're excited to announce that our annual S.T.E.A.M. Punks science camp will take place on a hybrid schedule, with two days (Monday & Wednesday) online and two days (Tuesday & Thursday) in-person outdoors at the Library. We will host two, identical four-day sessions, each available to eight learners grades 2-7. Session One takes place July 12th-15th and Session Two July 26th-29th from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Instructors are fully vaccinated.

Focusing on the intersection of technology and the arts, the STEAM Punks curriculum may explore design thinking, robotics, coding, physical computing, A/V recording, photography, mind hacks, and more through creative and irreverent challenges assigned each day. Participants will spend their remote days completing both synchronous and asynchronous tasks, and meet on Zoom to receive challenges, get instruction, and compare results. In-person days will see participants sharing work, and completing challenges and experiments outdoors. In the event of poor weather or Covid concerns, in-person days will be conducted on Zoom. There are a limited number of spots available, and applications are read on a first-come, first-served basis and will be accepted until the program and wait list are full. Emails will be sent with placement information the weekend of July 3rd, if not sooner.
