About the walking tour:
On this free tour, Brent will discuss the archaeology and history of military-related sites ranging from Pā to World War Two era in a walk that spans from the slopes of Maungawhau Mt Eden to Mount St John. It includes a mixture of hill-climbing and pavement walking. We will also stop for coffee and a chat at a cafe along the way (to be paid by individual attendees), at approximately 75% through the walk.

Please be aware that this walk is 5.5 km one way (public transport is available at both ends of the route). It includes some climbs, downhills and pavement walking. We advise wearing walking shoes with good tread.
