CSTEP Application
New Applicants: CSTEP is a New York state grant to increase the number of students from historically excluded groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields.

Student eligibility: 1) Student must be a New York state resident 2) Be from a historically excluded background as African-American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian or Alaskan native and/or 3) Be historically economically disadvantaged background

Returning Student: Welcome to the annual CSTEP Application! Students must apply for CSTEP each academic year. Make sure to fill out with your 2024-2025 academic information. 

On this application, there are designated sections for new and returning applicants. If you were part of CSTEP at Upstate in prior year(s) but not this past 2023-2024 academic year, then please fill out the application as a new applicant.
