✨ Catalyst 2024 - Call for Proposals
Catalyst is Mesa’s teaching conference that is held every spring during Flex week. Hosted by the Faculty Professional Learning committee (FPLC), the goals of Catalyst are to:
  • create a space for culturally-relevant teaching conversations across disciplines at Mesa.
  • provide support to Mesa faculty infusing equity into their spring course preparations.
  • inspire colleagues to try new teaching ideas and share them with each other.

Catalyst will take place Mon. Jan. 22, 2024 & Tues. Jan. 23, 2024
  • Jan. 22, 2024 (Mon.) 10a - 3p | Zoom only. Presenters & participants will join via Zoom.
  • Jan. 23, 2024 (Tues.) 10a - 3p | On-campus only. Presenters & participants will be on-campus only. (Lunch to be included.)
If you haven't already, be sure to Register for Catalyst to get an accurate head count for lunch on Tuesday.

Catalyst Presentation Formats
Both days (Mon./Zoom and Tues./LOFT) will offer the following two presentation formats:
  • Interactive Presentation (45 mins. each): 1-2 presenters that present on a single topic and create space for reflection, interaction, and Q&A from participants.
  • Lightning Round (10 mins. each) A lightning fast presentation that we will bundle together with 3 others to fit into a 45 min. session. Less time for interaction and Q&A.
