Food Safety Cost-share Grant Application - English

CAFF’s food safety cost-share grant program reimburses or compensates farmers for costs associated with 3rd party audits ($750 max.) and water test(s) ($250 max.). See below for detailed eligibility requirements and to complete and submit an application.

ELIGIBILITY
Please apply only if your farm meets the following eligibility requirements.
- Family farmers who are actively working the land, derive a portion of their income from their own farm business, and are involved in the day-to-day operations of the farm
-The farm must be located in California.
-You can apply for reimbursement or compensation for water test(s) and/or 3rd party audit expenses that occurred from January 2020 to December 1st, 2021. If seeking compensation instead of reimbursement, you must provide documentation that shows you are in the process of incurring those expenses.
-Farms are limited to a maximum of $1,000 in grant funding ($750 for a 3rd party audit and $250 for water testing)
