BUILDING A CULTURE OF COMPLIANCE
This course will discuss how to set up an effective compliance program that adds value to the organization including practice sharing from a multi-national company considered to be the gold standard in compliance by the US Government and best practices from different industries.

Compliance is becoming more visible in various organizations, companies from developed countries like the Unites States have been developing compliance programs for some years and it has now been more important for companies from developing countries like the Philippines to implement a good compliance program as well, since this is one of the best deterrence to fraud, corruption and inefficiencies.

Being a Compliance practitioner is an upcoming and exciting new field which can provide local opportunities as Philippine companies sees its importance and global companies especially from developed countries such as the US, UK, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan already offers a strong job market, since the importance of compliance has already been established in these countries. Being a compliance practitioner does not require you to have a background in accounting, compliance practitioners come from any/various fields (medical, engineering, finance, HR, Law, etc.).

A good Compliance Program is a strong preventive control which helps managers in the company add value to their organization. Since internal control is the responsibility of everyone in the company especially its managers and leaders, this program is applicable, relevant and useful to decision makers and leaders of any organization.

By the end of this module, the Learner should be able to gain the following knowledge:
     • Understand the interplay between Compliance and Ethics
     • The role of Organizational Culture and how it is shaped
     • Essential elements of an Effective Compliance and Ethics Program
     • What and how to implement the strategies of a compliance program
     • How to measure the effectiveness of your compliance program
     • Be familiar of different compliance risk areas and
     • Obtain recent developments and trends in compliance management

Schedules:
The sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12, and 1 to 4 p.m., Friday through Saturday.
