Hello GCI members,
We are excited to announce that DÉFI Canderel Run (on May 4th, 2023) will return in person this year!
To launch our institutional fundraising campaign, we have planned a Lab Thrift Store event (on April 14th, 2023 at GCI Atrium ) for you! All proceeds from the Lab Thrift Store event will go directly to the GCI Team participating in the DÉFI Canderel Run.
Here are the steps to join this event and to fundraise with us for DÉFI Canderel 2023:
1. Create your own fundraising page and join the Team: Rosalind & Morris Goodman Cancer Institute at DÉFI Canderel Website (https://deficanderel.com/donate-to-runner/gci)
2. Register your lab thrift store (you can name it creatively) by filling this form and nominate a lab representative as your lab thrift store manager. We will contact your store manager for an inventory and price list.
3. Prepare and price tag second-handed items that you would like to sell for your lab store. *Please keep your items for sale at a good sanitary condition.
4. (Optional) Send your thrift store advertisement materials (e.g. Instagram photos) to GCSS (gcss.gcrc@mcgill.ca.). We will help promote your thrift store on social media before the market day.
5. Join and shop with other labs on the market day on April 14th, starting at 3 pm at GCI Atrium. Participating labs will be given a table booth for selling their items. We will designate a cashier station for items check out and payment. For clothing, we have reserved changing rooms. More details will be released!
