Instructor: Jasper Goodrich

DATE:
Thursday, Nov. 19th: 7:45 - 9:15 PM CST

Description:
In this online image making class, we will explore sequences, iterations, and permutations in contemporary art and throughout history. Instead of art making that leads to one thing (a painting, sculpture, etc.), in this class you will make a group of images that cumulatively tell a story, depict an emotion, or communicate an idea. This class will focus on drawing and photography at home, in addition to a lecture on the subject. We will also explore groupings and progressions in other fields including typography, music, popular culture, dance, video art, and fashion.

Supplies Needed:
Computer with a camera for video conferencing, 12-15 sheets of paper at a size of your choosing (I recommend paper about 11 x 17 inches), Pencil, Eraser, Thick black marker (a thick sharpie will work great), a marker or pen that is a different color than black (red, blue, green, etc.), A camera (an iphone or other kind of camera phone will work perfectly)  Additional supplies that may be helpful:, markers of various colors, watercolors or acrylic paint with brushes, scissors, any other art materials that you may have at home
