Why submit your volunteer hours for the AOMS PTSA?

Volunteer hours are collected and reported to maintain our PTSA’s federal tax exemption status. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, PTSA must receive 1/3 (one-third) of its support from the general public. The recorded hours from volunteers are proof of this. They are also used in advocating on behalf of children and as information in grant writing. Please help us meet these goals.

You should always sign in and out of the office computer when on campus AND wear your printed name badge. Your volunteer hours on campus will automatically be recorded for you.

***Please do not log the hours recorded at the office; we have already counted them.***

Please log your volunteers hours for:
- Attending PTSA meetings and events, including preparation and travel
- Discussing PTSA on the phone or in video meetings
- Shopping for supplies
- Attending off campus events
- Helping classrooms @home
- Volunteering for the Carlsbad Ed Foundation
- ANYTIME you are Volunteering YOUR Time. If the PTSA asks you to do it, count it toward your PTSA’s volunteer hours.

CUSD's PTA/PTSAs track all volunteering hours for the school district together.
If you are a PTSA member OR NOT, please let us know how much time you give.
