Pressed Metal Workshop Booking Form - February 27th 2020
Thank you for your interest in my Metalwork Workshop.
Working with aluminium and brass is a fun and inexpensive way to make creative and personalised jewellery pieces. As well as making pieces to take home, this workshop will teach you the techniques needed to continue making beautiful jewellery long after the workshop has finished. The skills learnt can be applied to costumes and wearable art, homewares, woodwork and wall art too.
The class is booked for the 27th of February from 2pm to approximately 4pm and will be held at Sunshine Coast Art Group. The class is capped at 10 participants and is only available to 18+ yr olds at this venue.
The workshop will cover basics and safety aspects of working with metal, as well as showing you how you can use readily available supplies and tools to create fabulous pieces. Students will learn the basics of cutting, filing and pressing designs into aluminium. They will create a bookmark or wrist cuff and can use metal paints or leave the piece simple. If time permits they can press a pair of earrings OR a necklace/keyfob pendant. Students will also learn about how this process can be applied to upcycling aluminium cans into jewellery or art pieces. Additional supplies can be purchased during the workshop if wishing to create further pieces.
The cost will be $75 and a $20 deposit is required to retain your booking. Payment can be made via your choice of Paypal, direct deposit or cash.
All participants will need to bring their own mug or cup if wishing to use tea and coffee facilities due to COVID.
