Yiddish Book Center "Coming to America" Book Club Program REGISTRATION
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans: Goldring Family Foundation Center for Jewish-Multicultural Affairs is excited to partner with the New Orleans Public Library to present:

The Yiddish Book Center "Coming to America" Reading Groups for Public Libraries program!

"Coming to America" is a program in which librarians arrange reading groups to discuss three books of Yiddish literature in translation, and one book related to an immigrant community served by their library - in our case, the Latinx community. Participants will read four books between December and April, and all discussion group events will be held virtually, unless circumstances change. The discussions will be held on the third Sunday of each month at noon, with the books and accompanying event dates as follows:

(1) January 17, 2021: A Jewish Refugee in New York by Kadya Molodovsky
(2) February 21, 2021: Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario
(3) March 21, 2021: Enemies, A Love Story by Isaac Bashevis Singer
(4) April 18, 2021: Motl the Cantor’s Son by Sholem Aleichem

A limited number of copies of these books will be available to program participants, first come first served, for FREE at the Mid-City Library (4140 Canal St., NOLA 70119). Instructions for requesting a copy will be emailed to you after you complete this registration.
