The Pre-Law Advisors National Council’s (PLANC) annual Emerging Leader Award recognizes newer advisors who have made a significant contribution to and impact on the pre-law advising community beyond their institution and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service at a national level.
Eligibility:
- The nominee must be a current member in good standing of their regional APLA.
PLANC is excited to receive nominees in their first 7 years of work in pre-law advising.
The nominee must have made a meaningful contribution to the pre-law advising community beyond their institution. Note: current national-level engagement is not required for this award.
The nominee must demonstrate outstanding promise for continuing service and leadership. Specific examples must be provided.
Contributions to the profession might include service to an APLA, program creation at the nominee’s college or university, conference presentations, etc.
