The purpose is to bring together the past, present and future leaders in Edmonton Huskies’ Football. It is through this sharing that our program will continue to grow and develop outstanding contributors to our local and national community.
Each year a select group of past athletes, coaches and builders is added to the Huskies Hall of Fame, in recognition of not only their contribution to the Huskies, but to the community as well.  Inductees are chosen by a selection committee made up of HOF members, Alumni and Huskies Board members.
Honorees are known to have exceptional skill and expertise and are familiar with success. They represent and uphold the essence of the commitment made through the decades by the Edmonton Huskies to develop exemplary players and citizens. It is these traits which make them worthy of recognition.
TWO FORMS OF RECOGNITION
Edmonton Huskies Hall of Fame and Edmonton Huskies Alumni Scholarship Program. Nominees can be considered for one or both.
NOMINATION CRITERIA
A working committee will solicit nominations from Alumni
A given number will be selected each year (5)
All nominations will be considered for three consecutive years and any nomination placed on a short list will be considered for five consecutive years. Short listed candidates will automatically be placed on the initial short list for the following year

CRITERIA for SELECTION
To honor athletes, coaches and builders who have made significant contributions. Selection committee will take into consideration both the contributions made to the Huskies and contributions made in the community
CRITERIA FOR PLAYERS (any combination)
Contributed for more than one season
Set team and /or league records, was an award recipient at the team, league or national level, and / or played a key role in championships
Went on to have success in football beyond their years as a Huskie (playing, coaching, building)
CRITERIA FOR BUILDERS / Coaches, Managers, Training staff, Board Members
Significant contributions recognized internally and / or league wide
CRITERIA FOR TEAMS
National Champions

Addressing the issue of posthumous vs living candidates a suggestion came forward that eras be designated so we pick a recipient or two from an early era, and the same from more recent eras.  In perpetuity, we would eventually catch up.
Nominations for this years candidates MUST reach the EHAS NO LATER THEN JUNE 1, of any year.  Any nomination that is not selected for the 2022 awards either HOF or Scholarship will be archived and reviewed for the following year.
