Intensive Winter Grazing Campaign 2020
Intensive Winter Crop Grazing is done to feed a lot of animals in a small area.
The land is churned to mud after rain. Animals suffer in mud, and the muddy slush flows into our waterways.
Winter crop grazing only happens because there are too many animals and the land can’t cope.
This year we are looking for supporters to help achieve some of the following goals:
-Highlighting the lack of an animal welfare system for chronic health problems suffered by production animals.
-Push the Government to empower the Ministry for the Environment to be an effective and strong regulator so it can deliver the water policies that the NZ public have demanded.
-Expose the fact that Otago Regional Council and Environment Canterbury appear to have made no attempt to resolve the pollution problems from industrial agriculture as well as ensure Environment Southland keep to their promises.
