Creative Impact: Capital Region Artist Fund
The reason:
All over the country, arts and culture are severely impacted by the negative effects of COVID-19. Right now we are focusing efforts in the Capital Region of New York State to alleviate some of these hardships for individual artists.

Now, more than ever, it is our dedicated artists and supporters of the arts that will help lift our community back up with their generosity. If you are wondering what you can do at this time, please give what you can to support artists in financial distress.

Eligibility:
An individual artist from the four counties of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady who is suffering financial losses due to canceled events and projects because of the COVID-19 pandemic, in all disciplines, is invited to apply. (i.e. performances, readings, workshops, gigs, commissioned work, or other like opportunities). Funding and interest dependent, it may expand to include the other counties of the Capital Region as well, in the near future. Proof of address will be requested.

$100 Visa gift card per artist. One application per artist every six months, to allow for a fair opportunity for all.

We are currently fundraising for this fund and gift cards will start being disbursed by the last week of April 2020. The application review and payment distribution process takes about 2.5 weeks, funding dependent. Any questions, please email us at info@creativeimpactfund.com

Fiscal sponsor: United Way of the Greater Capital Region
Application Committee: Kristen Holler of Albany Barn, Tony Iadicicco of Albany Center Gallery, Belinda Colon of Arts Center of the Capital Region, and Patrick Harris of Collectiveffort
