We now know that success and performance improvement doesn't happen because a person is "gifted", but rather comes from a growth mindset (see the book Bounce and the work of Carol Dweck in the links below). Grateful people work harder at a problem, stay focused longer, and achieve better outcomes than their peers. A Mindset is an overarching belief about life. Examples might be "Difficult roads lead to beautiful places," "You got this," Let life surprise you," and more. The opposite of growth is a fixed mindset.
