Founded in 2003, Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture is a woman-led organization that supports producers and cultivates community connections that educate, inspire, and increase the demand for local food.

The Board will review potential applicants on a rolling time period. Vacancies will be filled based upon current organizational needs. Eligible applicants will be contacted within one month of their application.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIES:
We seek powerful and passionate women who can commit 10-15 hours per month for a 3-year term.
Duties include:
- Attending board meetings (bi-monthly, 3rd Mondays, 5:30 - 7:00pm at Agricultural Conference Center in Boone, NC).
- Participating in one board committee throughout the year.
- Attending one annual retreat.
- Recruiting new BRWIA donors, supporters, and board members.
- Assisting with fundraising activities.
- Lending support to programs and staff (e.g., attending events, mentoring staff, or supporting grant writing).
- Acting as an ambassador for BRWIA and educating the community about our mission and activities.
