Workshop 1 Morning

Song is a powerful tool to connect learners and their guides. In this workshop, you will learn Kathryn Para’s own “Ukify '' method, a surprisingly simple use of color coded movements and cords, verbal cues with original ditties and songs created just for you to learn. Additionally, you will discuss and understand the practical application of how to use the ukulele and music to shift the energy of a group or class for schedule flow, guidance and differentiation. No music theory or experience needed! Bring your own ukulele or select ticket choice with add-on uke. Gain access to Kathryn’s growing Mighty Network educator portal to learn more songs as they are added.

Workshop 2 Afternoon

If you’ve ever watched children play, you’ve likely noticed that they use random things in creative, imaginative ways. In this workshop you will understand that this type of open-ended play using materials with no defined purpose and infinite possibilities is called loose parts play. We will dive deep into its methodology and how to set up a rich and engaging environment. Plus, you will engage in hands-on experiences that highlight the many benefits it provides our youngest curious minds and connect them with nature every time. Let’s “loose parts” play!
