Open Flames Permit Request
Persons using a device or devices which have an open flame on the property of Southern Adventist University must obtain a written permit from the Campus Safety Department  prior to use.

All local and state laws apply regarding fires, burning, and restrictions for use at all times.

This does not apply to installed, approved equipment, devices, or permanent cooking fixtures.

Items such as proximate pyrotechnics, fireworks, and indoor flame-effects may require additional city or state permits.

Permit must be posted on-site or remain at location with responsible party during the entire time of device use.
Fire Extinguishers may be required for some applications such as campfires and outdoor forges - extinguishers and training are available at the Campus Safety office.
